Review & Swatches: NARS Torrid Blush
Any beauty brand worth its salt has at least one stand-out or cult product in their range. Some brands are known for ground-breaking foundations, while others set the bench when it comes to lip products, for NARS - it's largely all about the blush! Two of the most famous NARS' blush shades being Orgasm and Deep Throat, so they also get an A+ for..ahem..'memorable' labelling. Honestly, as an owner of both of their best-selling shades I do think they're ever so slightly overrated. Nevertheless, after being filed in my mental wishlist since Karen's rave, I recently found myself adding Torrid to a late night ASOS shopping basket and so here we are.
Review & Swatches: NARS Torrid Blush
Encased in the classic NARS rubberised packaging this, like the others, is sleek and travel friendly; containing a decent 4.8g of product and a large mirror. Let me tell you, it is a love like no other. The shade is a warm coral with barely detectable traces of gold shimmer which makes for a stunning flush of colour with just the right amount of glow. It can be packed on for an 80s 'give me ALL of the blusher' kind of look, or applied more softly for a natural effect. I've gone for a middle of the road application (pictured below), but this of course varies depending on lip/eye combinations.
I find this shade to be more pigmented, smooth, and long-wearing than the aforementioned shades and I just think it's an absolute [insert melodramatic pause here] travesty that this doesn't get the attention it deserves from makeup obsessives the world over. It's certainly on the splurgy side (around €29), but if you're looking to invest in a NARS blush or you're just a lover of coral cheeks - I highly recommend this beauty!
