Review & Swatches: Butter London 'Kerfuffle' (Sweetie Shop Collection)

Butter London Kerfuffle
Being part of the makeup blogosphere I am lucky to receive the odd invite to some absolutely fabulous events and product launches. How wonderful, right? Well, yes and no. Yes; in that being asked to attend is, as a beauty obsessive, inexplicably exciting! No; in that I reside in the West of Ireland and as a full time student find it near impossible to make the majority of these midweek launches! So you can imagine how thrilled I was to receive one of the shades from the collection, despite my non-attendance!*happy dance

I've mentioned in the past that I don't really consider myself to be a nail polish person. But my nail polish collection (which has vastly expanded in the past year) and the animated gasp I let out when I got my hands on this sort of indicate otherwise! So, on with the review!

Butter London 'Kerfuffle' (Sweetie Shop Collection)

Inspired by Spring and the 1950s, there are six pastel shades in total in this Sweetie Shop Collection (see above). Butter London are known for their great polishes, and although I don't have many in my collection I am thrilled that those that I have tried actually do live up to the hype. This particular polish, 'Kerfuffle', is no exception!

I am absolutely thrilled with this shade. It's exactly what I would have chosen myself (hurray!).  A beautiful bright coral shade, bordering on neon. To get full opacity you really do need 2-3 coats, but the finish is beautifully creamy and well worth the application time.  I will definitely be getting a lot of wear from this colour. In three words, I would describe it as clean, fresh and fun!

For me, this formula lasted a good 3-4 chip-free days without any top coat, which is fantastic going in my books. Although, as you can see from the photos below, I do like to keep my nails quite short so that probably helps!

Overall I just think this is a really beautiful collection which is absolutely perfect for spring! If you're looking to treat yourself one of these shades will set you back €15. Certainly on the pricier side, but fantastic quality! Plus, it's a calorie-free way to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Do you like pastel shades or what kind of polishes do you favour for Spring?

  4. That shade is gorgeous, it'd go well with a nice light blue I think, the perfect spring/summer nail colour combination! €15 is a put off though.
