Review: Blank Canvas Cosmetics Pro Deluxe E25

BCC Pro Deluxe E25
Great quality affordable brushes have, previously, been so hard to come by! When I first started to build my collection 7-years-ago it was a case of gradually buying one 50 MAC brush after another; a pain-staking process to say the least! Luckily, in recent years, more and more affordable quality brushes have been exploding onto the market (BCC, NIMA, Real Techniques, and Sigma to name a few) allowing us beauty-obsessed to indulge relatively guilt free!

If you've been reading this blog for a while, you'll probably already know of my deep grá for the Real Techniques line (see previous review), so I was more than thrilled to be able to try out another inexpensive brand, this time from homegrown Irish company Blank Canvas Cosmetics (BCC).

The brush I was sent to try out is called the Pro Deluxe E25. This eyeshadow brush is an ideal size for the crease; the kind of brush you can never have enough of in my opinion!

The brush is made from soft high grade natural goat hair. I don't consider myself to have sensitive skin, but personally, I do find this hair type slightly scratchy on my eyelid, something I also find with the MAC 224. It doesn't stop me using the brush which is a great shape for controlled blending. However, on a day-to-day basis I do have a preference for a softer hair brush like the MAC 217 or the Sigma E25.

BCC Pro Deluxe E25 Vs MAC 224
As I mentioned, the Pro Deluxe E25 has a similar feel to the MAC 224 but has shorter bristles than the MAC 224. Although the Pro Deluxe E25 is not as tapered as the MAC 224, it fits perfectly into my crease for a controlled blend and can also be used for blending out concealer.

I've had this for a few weeks now and it has washed and kept it's shape brilliantly, with no shedding at all! See here to see how I clean my brushes.

All in all, it's a great brush to have, especially if you're starting out and trying to build up a collection. If you're a fan of the MAC 224 or it's a little out of your budget, this brush is a fantastic alternative at €7.00! I'm definitely excited to try out more from the line!

I'm currently also trying out the HD Kabuki F23, a great multipurpose brush I so generously received at the recent Irish Beauty & Fashion Blogger and Vlogger meet; so expect a review on that soon. As well as brushes, BCC also have a range of affordable cosmetics which I believe are well worth a look! You can find out more here from the BCC website.

Have you tried any from the line? And are you as excited as me to see so many new Irish lines?? Let me know in the comments! :)
