'Artsy' Glasses Equals Clichéd 'Artsy' Photo - Needs Must & All That...

For someone who does a lot of online shopping, buying glasses online is something I'd never even thought of. So I was very intrigued when Firmoo offered me the chance to try out the service for myself and review the experience for all you lovely readers. A little off topic, but something I thought might interest some of you. So, first to tell you a little bit about the company's aim.

Firmoo have over 300 styles which are not only quite fashionable, but incredibly inexpensive. At first I was a little overwhelmed by the selection, but I quickly discovered their virtual try-on system. You simply upload a picture, click to indicate your pupils and then, if you're like me, spend a ridiculous amount of time trying on numerous styles! Which is far more fun than it should be; in the end, I actually went with one of the first pairs I tried on (see below).

For me, glasses have always been something I consider to be a pricey buy and therefore I have, in the past, always played it safe when it comes to the frame design. I always feared choosing something too 'fashionable'; I wanted a pair to carry me through a number of years as opposed to a season or two. But when glasses are this inexpensive (or in the case of this review, complementary) there's not much to lose! And as you can see I opted for a pretty bold style (bold for me anyways)!

You can get both prescription and non-prescription glasses, so you're covered whether you (like me) wave at people you don't know and ignore people you do(!) or you simply want them as a fashion accessory! The pair I chose arrived in mint condition a long with both a soft and hard cover case and looked exactly how they did on the website! Result!

Needless to say I'm quite thrilled with the entire service, and hope to get myself some swanky prescription sunglasses for the spring (because I am an eternal optimist of Irish weather?!).
